If your downloaded image from Plasfy is saving with a .jfif file extension instead of the more common .jpg, don’t worry — your file is still valid, and this isn’t caused by Plasfy.
What Is a JFIF File?
JFIF (JPEG File Interchange Format) is a real image format, very similar to JPG. The contents of the file are identical — it’s just the file extension that looks different.
Some versions of Windows 10/11 and certain browsers (especially older versions of Chrome or Edge) may automatically save JPG files with a .jfif extension due to system settings.
Is This a Plasfy Issue?
No — Plasfy generates images in the standard JPG format. If your file is showing as .jfif, it's most likely due to your browser or system settings, not the platform itself.
This issue is uncommon and doesn’t affect most users.
How to Fix It (Workaround)
Option 1: Manually Rename the File
Right-click the file on your computer.
Click Rename.
Change the extension from
.jfif
to.jpg
Press Enter — the file will now behave like a normal JPG image.
Option 2: Use an Online Converter
If you're unable to rename the file, use a free tool like:
